"Big Guy"

On Saturday, October 1, 2022, our beloved father and Nonno, Frank Derose passed away at the age of 75. He was lovingly surrounded by his family.

Frank will be affectionately missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Maria; his three children, Anna (Joe) Mercuri, Adrianna (Robert) Chiumento, and Frankie (Janelle) Derose; five grandchildren Gabriella, Adriano, Mila, Sophia and Leo; his siblings, Sam (Maria) Derose, Maria (Peter) Mauro, Nick (Carmela) Derose and in-laws, Lisa (Joe) Bernardo, Laura (Gino) Marrelli, Tony (Diane) Nigro, Franca Nigro, Gina (Tony) Marrazzo, Susanna Nigro, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frank, who was affectionately known as “Big Guy,” immigrated from Italy to Canada in 1962 as a young man, and ran a successful family business, Derose Bros. Meats, for 45 years. Frank was a very generous man with everyone he met. His giving nature allowed him to gather a great number of friends. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday October 8, 2022 at Santa Maria Goretti Parish, 11050 90 Street, at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow.
